The Secret Cow Level

"

The Secret Cow Level is a small area, full of Hell Bovines, bipedal cattle with polearms. A rather special cow, named "The Cow King", always appears in the level. If someone kills the Cow King for the first time (virgin kill) on the current difficulty, all players within the Cow Level, partied or not, will get "the kill" (he/she will be unable to create another portal to the Secret Cow Level on the same difficulty). Furthermore, if someone already has killed the Cow King on the current difficulty in a previous game and decides to kill the King in another game, everyone within the Cow Level will be ineligible to get "the kill."

The cow level was the most popular place to level due to the huge numbers of cows and the fact that their slow speed, low resistances, and clumping behavior made them very easy to kill in bunches.

In order to create this wonderful level I have a few Ideas that would make it unique; as there is currently not a way to combine items you could go about this in a couple ways.

Method 1:
Collecting (from a boss or rare spawn) a rare item from each act. Upon collecting said items from the acts, talking to a specific person would allow the way point/portal to be opened.

Method 2:
Finding a location within a pre-generated map, much like a cave entrance. This location would be rare and could potentially spawn on any map.

Each difficulty would allow you to participate in this secret level. Much like getting the virgin kill on the Cow King, this could be the marker for the ability to find the location. If you have participated in the level already and have also participated in the killing of the boss, you will not have the chance to find this location, but could join in on other groups.

*I will keep this section up to date with comments and suggestions provided below. Including New Method ideas or ideas for a new kind of enemy, instead of a cow, maybe kittens or as suggested below Kiwi!? xD*

Probably just an accident I think. Or a dev leaked it, or a friend of a dev leaked it.

But still, that was an awesome experience heh. I think it was a trend back then for games to have secret rooms/levels, which made them even more awesome.

There should be a secret kiwi level.

EDIT: LOL I just googled 'New Zealand Sheep' and the first, the very first hit, was a wiki entry about Trans-Tasman Sheep Jokes.

Secret Moa/Skeleton Moa Cave. There's more than just one type of native bird in NZ. And moa were ratites, like kiwi are. And generally around the same size as/larger than a human. The "Moa King" could be a Dinornis giganteus, or a Dinornis novaezelandiae.
