Blight: Empowering Tower - unintuitive upgrade paths

Hello! I'm not good at this and Blight is not a new or hot topic. I just wanted to bring up a minor flaw in the green Tower's function, or the communication of it. I'll (edit: tried to) make this short.

The Empowering Tower upgrades Towers in its radius, Imbuing and Smothering Towers do not. Usually, a Tower's function gets an upgrade with their ultimate version.

Take the Ice Tower for example. It start's out as a damaging and slowing beam tower and upgrades into either a high damage Freezebolt Tower or into a immobilizing Chilling Cage Tower. They always lose their original "Skill", like the chilling beam, but a piece of their function is improved upon, like caging instead of chilling.

This is my primary complaint. The green tower loses all of his function when going MK IV. It still "buffs" something, but it no longer affects Towers. The only way to tell is to notice the absence of an upgrade on nearby towers or look at the supposedly upgraded tower's feet. If there is a ring on it, look picture above, then great...well.

Secondarily, the Empowering Tower displays an area of effect, this is misleading because it also requires line of sight to affect a tower. Again, look at feet if you're unsure about line of sight.
Suggestion aka Obligatory armchair-"I would do it this way, hmpf"

Clearer communication of the loss of function of the green MK IV versions. Clearer indication a tower being buffed. By the way, please share the exact effects of the Smothering tower as it is hard to test.
