Any build uses the Solaris Lorica?

I understand the Shav is so much better, but I cannot afford it yet.
A few years ago it was called a 'budget shav' I think, and statistics show a few people still use this on the current league.

Any idea?

Honestly, if you want a cheaper Shavs, go for Ivory Tower. Scales way easier into high ES regions and should cost less as it's not meta. You won't be able to reserve much mana and will have to do some mana investment but you can use arcane cloak to compensate the lost damage. Maybe even archmage on top depending on what skill you want to use.

That's an interesting piece of armor! But other players say I shouldn't reserve mana and have a lot of chaos resistance. Hope it doesn't stop me playing a LL character.
Yes, you shouldn't reserve much mana, i reserve 25% for aspect of spider in maps/fights where i know there isn't much if any chaos damage otherwise i go without it. High Chaos resists are also good, i'd recommend at least 50%. That's usually not too hard to achieve though. You get 60 from Chayulas, a few chaos resist crafts here and there and maybe a few nodes of the chaos res/life cluster near the zealots oath node and you have your 50+ chaos res.

How about playing a LL hierophant based on this guide ?
What do you think about? I only have 30c currently because I spent my first ex on a slayer, accidentally
Haven't tried the build so i can't really say for sure. However, personally i don't think Manastorm is worth it compared to just using Archemage/Arcane Cloak. If you want to utilize your high mana then those 2 are the way to go imo. Also from what i've seen, i can't recommend the guides from Angry Roleplayer to new players. He is one of those guide authors who makes a build guide and then just changes the topic title to the current expansion every time without really caring if the build is still viable. The guide was made in 3.9 and both Archemage and Brands got massive changes since then and i highly doubt he played the build since then so yeah, follow it on your own risk.
