Suicide?

Now, I didn't think to grab a screenshot at the time, but last night I was in a party for maps and one of the other members seemed to have successfully killed himself. He was CI, claimed to not be using an HP damaging flask, and there were no nearby mobs to damage him. There was also no damage to his energy shield. The kicker was, the death message read out "XXXXXX has committed suicide" or something similar, not "XXXXXX has been slain." He hadn't recently leveled, so he was losing xp, and at least SEEMED confused as to what was going on. So - my question, is there a keyboard command to kill your own character? Or was some dude just burning his xp down because he felt like it?


EDIT: The map wasn't blood magic either.

Caustic mana flask for sure. Either that, or he had an aura linked to the blood magic gem support

Since he was CI i doubt the blood magic gem thing UNLESS it was intentional (but then, why?), and he hadn't died prior to this map in the group so it's not like he accidentally had a flask. I mean, I guess it's most likely he was killing himself but that doesn't make sense.

you have your answer right here, and sometimes it really doesn't pay to dig any deeper than that. Occam's razor - sometimes the simplest explanation is the actual solution.

bloodmagic map ?

OP says clearly that it wasn't a blood magic map, unless they remember it wrongly.

Happened to me a few ties on my ci witch before I realized it was 1 of my flasks.

Get him to check the blue stats on the flasks, one might be removing life.

Yeah I still had all my auras up so it wasn't bloodmagic. And while that's the simplest answer, it still makes far less sense than some of the other potential things - why waste hours of your own time to fuck with someone over the internet (ok in those terms, it now sounds way more likely LOL). I was most concerned that there was a key command for self kill but after looking around I can't find any reference to it. I suppose he was just trolling at great expense to himself - it worked, I made a fucking forum thread about it.

the command /suicide will prob do that 2 you :p
