Wave of Conviction + Elemental Equilibrium

I was wondering how this works. I know it uses fire damage and lightning damage, but what does it proc for EE? Does it give less lightning resistance or less fire resistance? Which damage type hits first? Or is it based upon which damage type hits harder?

The way EE works is when an enemy is hit by damage they get 25% res to any elemental damage they were hit with and lose 50% res to any elemental damage they weren't hit with. There is no hit first or anything. If a spell hits with all 3 elements the enemy gains 25% all ele res. But you do need to hit with at least 1 element to be able to reduce the other elemental resistance.
So say your wave of conviction is mostly fire damage with a bit of lightning, it would give fire exposure from the spell but give the enemy fire and lightning res and reduce the cold res. The fire exposure would cancel out the bonus fire res but that's kinda pointless. |
