Incredible item for defense, wish I'd known about it earlier so I could attempt to build around it. The opportunity cost for using this is pretty steep.

Crit immune, curse immune AND hits are unlucky meaning rolled twice and the lower result taken.

This is an insane item.

And the "downside" isn't really a downside.

Hexproof is ok, but not build defining unless you are comboing it with Soul Mantle. Otherwise though it simply replaces a flask affix for most uses.

I very much like the no crits and unlucky damage in combination with things like MOM, and Glancing Blows that have a damage smoothing effect allowing you to not worry as much about getting one-shot. Together with some strong regen (Agnostic) it should be seriously strong.

Sure there is a downside, you give up a lot of stats from rare rings.

In endgame, dps might matter more than being hexproof. If you kill anything within few seconds, who needs to be hexproof?

The item is certainly very good and viable, but there is a trade-off.

You can offset that with harvest crafting. Crits are one of the common reasons why people randomly die and that thing negates all of it. If you don't value hexproof that much you can always not opt into that. Either way your weapon and ammy isn't affected and those are your 2 biggest dps items.
