Just tested some stuff:
1. the sphere can be hit by lancing steel, but it's not Auto targeted (like normal enemies). Projectiles do chain from hydrosphere to enemies, but not the other way around
2. It can be impaled and steel shards can be retrieved with call of steel if the sphere hasn't vanished yet.
3. It does not grant elusive on critical strike for Assassin (which is weird)
4. It cannot be poisoned :(

I've been using this in conjunction with Wild Strike, both for single target and to use Wild Strike as a pseudo-ranged skill by hammering on it like a drum to kill things with the secondary effects. Targeting the hydrosphere for single target definitely feels a bit tricky, but it seems really strong with molten strike or some of the other interactions you covered!

Important for Fireball characters. You can't trigger all of your projectiles on this. only 1 at a time. No shotgunning allowed

I use Hydrosphere by linking it with Hextouch and Frostbite. When cast it applies the curse in a radius and keeps applying for its duration (base is 4 seconds) it does not need to blink for this. The mana cost is less than for the curse itself. And it deals significant damage. Another strange feature: you cant walk through it, so be careful when placing it in a doorway; not sure about monsters. Looks like a very nice tool begging to be exploited
