Question about combat focus

Does this mean a combination of these two for 40? Could it be just 40 str or 40int? Or does it actually require 40str and 40int totaling 80 stats to not choose cold?

im pretty sure thats wrong. would say "both... and" and not "total... and" then, wouldnt it?
(played both wildstrike and ele hit in the past and cant rememeber them being that restrictive. cant check either though cause my PoBs are lost... :/ wiki says nothing about it)

Tested ingame

Tried equipping a STR-INT combat focus on Scion's slot between lifeRegen and mana (40 STR, 40 INT). Ingame tooltip shows Combat Focus makes Elemental hit not choose Cold Damage

Tried equipping a STR-DEX Combat Focus on that same slot (40 STR, 10 DEX). Ingame tooltip Shows Combat focus makes Elemental hit not choose Lightning Damage.

This means I have played 6 months of EH wrong, and you can slam those Combat Focus pretty much anywhere in the Tree. Almost all jewel nodes will satisfy at least one of the Combat Focus conditions, if the sum of attribute X and Y in radius must be at least 40.

Horrible wording. Dismayed and outraged by this discovery. Don't know if something changed when they made Threshold Jewel work with passives in radius rather than allocated passives in radius. I can't believe this.
