Searing Bond Suggestion
|
i want to play a searing bond build. this is what i suggest, things i've thought of that would make it so much more tolerable
1) give searing bond a 2ndary duration where the burn effect is active after leaving the beam. i suggest at least 1 second but possibly upwards of 2 second duration. 2) make the totems invulnerable to damage while tethered to you. maybe reduce its duration down to 4 or 6 seconds to compensate. or 2.a) make the totems invulnerable to damage for the first 2-4 seconds of its 8 second duration thats pretty much it. i think thats pretty reasonable. i imagine you guys have searing bond on that list of 40 skill gems buffed for 3.13, so i'll see what it is. if not, well heres some ideas for the future! " well it didn't need more damage, but now it is by far the most base damage for a damage over time ability! thats some crazy damage. still probably not enough QoL to ever use, though |
|
" it needs auto summon totems nearby Need more brains, exile?

it needs a 'hit' element as many of the useful support gems (like fire penetration, combustion etc) require a 'hit'

" nah. there are plenty of supports for something like searing bond. at least it would if there was a duration element to the skill. other damage over time skills that don't hit are, scorching ray, flame wall, righteous fire. they do fine. adding a duration element to searing bond (which is really all it needs) would allow swift affliction as well as efficacy to be fully utilized |

" use a spell totem with a movement spell skill gem (like flame dash or lightning warp). drags the bond around... See my toon on my account for example (lvl 91 searing bond build SSF HC heist mini league). fire off totems, follow totems around as they move about killing stuff with attached bond.
