Any reason not to have gem swap key?

Because there is a key to swap weapons shouldn't there be a way to easily swap gems?

In my opinion it would be more useful than weapon swap, even if its simple swap increased AOE to CONC or AOE gem links to single target.

Maybe it would only work on 6 link chest/weapons or something. I only see this as an QoL feature, not game breaking or anything, no reason not to have that feature. (again my opinion, would like to hear others)

I don't think this will be a problem anymore, when everyone and their mother are running around with 6+ six-links in PoE 2. But I do agree, a feature like this wouldn't hurt.

Reason would be it takes development time to add such thing and not only they dont have it, such feature would be useless in "PoE 2".

the reason is it removes the opportunity cost of QoL gems over damage gems, they want it to be expensive (weapon swap 6l) or faffy (inventory swap) because both of those keep us with our gem choices in most circumstances.

Gem swap button would be great.

They still make you pickup dozens of perandus coins, breach splinters and transmutation shards. I don't think that feature of one-button press to swap gems will come anytime soon, if not at all.

Just be glad you can still one-shot mobs at T16 maps (some builds even wipeout entire screen and offscreen just by running over them). You won't find that many games where you can still do this.

Unfortunately for you op, after the "make it less zoomy" is programmed...

Look at pinpoint support. And intesify. What can you learn from them? They would rather introduce gems that are "hybrid" between two gems that were usually switched than button to switch gems.

When you press key, you get your support gem X swapped with a portal scroll, because you no longer have the backup gem in inventory?

Probably can be done by adding a screen similar with the MTX one, to be able to cover multiple swaps at a time, but would be a pain to implement.
