Ghost Reaver and Items?
Was trying to figure out if items worked with Ghost Reaver of if it's passive effects only.
Really only found this. Didn't find much saying if items applied. Wanted to know if jewels with leech or items worked towards ES. ie. Physical attack damage leeched as life. " Last bumped on Dec 30, 2020, 8:15:29 AM

The quote you have given explains all that is about Ghost Reaver. But, I will spell it out for you:
Ghost Reaver makes all LL apply to ES instead. by "all" we mean each and every kind of bonus like "x% of [type] damage leeched as life" - the "life" in that modifier is conceptually changed to "energy shield". This comes useful with elemental mages which now can add bonus like "x% elemental damage leeched as life" to already accessible "x% spell damage leech as ES" in order to increase even further. As implied by my example, Ghost Reaver applies its change for any possible source of leech - included from jewels, weapons, equipment in general, passive, even Devouring Totem's "healing" (which is considered as leech). In other words, it will be impossible for your character to leech life as long they have Ghost Reaver. Ghost Reaver also come with some hidden/implied modifiers (they could spell it out, actually), which are "Increases and Reduction to Life Leech per Second are instead applied to Energy Shield Leech" and "increases and reduction to Maximum Life per second to Maximum Life leech Rate are instead applied to Energy Shield per second and Maximum Energy Shield Rate". This helps re-invest statistics which would otherwise be wasted. The only leech modifier Ghost Reaver cannot completely touch is "Life Leech effects are not removed on full Life". It's a bonus usually found on Slayer and Soul Tether, and is what makes those kind of characters have bad synergy with Ghost Reaver - Slayer is about Life Leech, and Life Leech only. Not sure how the new "Life Leech rate is doubled" from The Highwayman unique ring works with Ghost Reaver, but I'd assume it turns into "Energy Shield Leech rate is doubled". |

" Thanks. I just didn't know if it was limited to passives or included items. Guess it includes items from your explanation. |

Each and every instance of that bonus is changed to apply to the other referenced statistic.
For the records, the word "instead" in a modifier is a hot word and bears the same meaning across the world of Path of Exile. For example: "Increase and Reduction to spell damage applies to attack damage" means that everything (passive, buffs, items...) that gives you "+x% increase/reduced spell damage" will ALSO give you an equal "+x% increase/reduced attack damage". "Increase and Reduction to spell damage applies instead to attack damage" means that everything that should give you "+x% increase/reduced spell damage" will not actually give you any bonus/malus to spell damage, and will rather be translated to a "+x% increase/reduced attack damage" of equal value |
