Death rush ring and Three-step assault

I just started getting into poe here recently. I have started using death rush ring with three-step assault when i looked at my evasion while i was in a map i noticed i wasnt getting the buff but when i use my onslaught flask i get the buff. am i missing something or is this a bug?

Are you sure you didnt hit your quartz flask?

Before using my silver flask my evasion is 5797. After using it and only it my evasion is 11419. After testing everything I could think of and read I think I found out the issue. Either casting does not proc death rush's onslaught or mines wont. ATM I'm throwing mines and it doesn't work but if I hit something physically it will. I don't know if this is intentional of a bug but its sad 2 items that synergize wont due to a loop hole not stated or a bug.

Mines wont rigger any on hit or on death effect you might have, since its not you hitting and killing the enemies but the mines that do it.
