It's a fun playstyle but TS is not a build you can expect to get going with 20c.
Like Spectral Throw, it has no flat damage on the skill gem itself which is a big indicator that flat damage must be obtained elsewhere in the gear. It is also meant to be squishy. I don't think there is any way around that. You should follow an updated guide for PoE 3.12. |

I've been following the guide pretty much but I'm getting extremely unlucky gear wise and dont know where to go from here nothing I can afford is good enough for this build this was a terrible choice for a first build if I knew it was so expensive I would have gone with something else I know I need physical damage to boost my overall damge output with this guide I've been following but no one talks about what to do before end game stuff just what you want at the end when I dont even have gear set up for maps

For the level you are at, I would recommend chaos recipe farming which I believe you already know. The next best method would be selling alteration orbs for chaos orbs: https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/exchange/Standard/AjnbtX. The price ratio is much better in the temp leagues but I don't think you have much choice.
5-linked chests are so cheap, I don't feel I should be mentioning about them even. I would even build my passive tree around wearing a Tabula because it simply feels a lot better on these kinds of builds to have as much damage as you can get in the early stages of mapping. Life and resists must come from other gears. Shroud of the Lightless would probably be the cheapest 6L (pseudo-6L, actually) you can get that is not a Tabula and works for your type of build. Stacking abyss jewels could be the cheapest way to get flat damage too, so you might want to consider Lightpoacher, Tombfist, Bubonic Trail and stygian vises. Going with lightning theme seems to be the most affordable one: https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Standard/dyqoeEOsJ. You still won't end up with game-breaking DPS despite stacking 10 of these, so the next step would probably to slowly upgrade them one-by-one to +40 lightning damage ones, each costing numerous exalts each. For cold theme, I believe the go-to approach will be Hyrri's Ire chest and dex-stacking bow, stack over 600+ dexterity: https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Standard/E4a5QZ0T5. You've figured out some stuff by playing, which is normal with new players and PoE.
Deadeye is a very high skillcap ascendancy. Typical Deadeye skills like Tornado Shot and Ice Shot also take high currency to reach their full damage capabilities. And really high damage is important, because it makes a glass cannon build viable. So overall, yes, it's not a good build for new players, and not a good build for league start unless you really know what you're doing. You can obviously keep playing and try to make it better. I think that is likely to be a frustrating experience. The other option is to use the next month to try out another build or two as prep for the next league. And if you like it, you can even stick with it if you want to keep playing in standard rather than the challenge league that will start in January. If you decide you want to try something better for a new player, you'll get plenty of suggestions here. Last edited by GreyLensman#5323 on Dec 15, 2020, 7:19:27 AM

You bring up several issues.
1) Trying to map with only the 4 default stash tabs. I can't imagine doing this. While the game is technically free to play, and you can progress through the campaign with only the 4 default tabs, it is just not viable to map with them. For endgame, the game is NOT free. You need to buy a currency tab, a map tab and at least one premium tab. Preferably a quad tab. 2) Newbies and builds The game is not balanced at ALL. You chose a bow build, tornado shot. This is fine, IF you know what you are doing, which as a newbie, of course you do not. Bow builds need currency to work. An experienced player could easily generate the needed currency, but a newbie, not so much. It's not fair, but it is what it is. As I have stated over and over in many such threads... Minion builds are the BEST for newbies. They need NO gear to be strong. They scale with gear for endgame. They are simple to play. It's not even close. If you were to start over with a minion build, you would be SO AMAZED at how much easier it is to progress, you would think you are playing a different game. There are many many good newbie minion build guides. Here is a link to mine, written specifically for newbies. https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2883137 3) Generating currency As mentioned by a previous poster, selling alterations for chaos is a great way to get some currency for starter gear. I generalize this to selling all your types of low level currency for chaos. Take advantage of all the currency trading bots out there. Sell your alts, your chance orbs, your regals, your scours, whatever you have, to get a few chaos to upgrade your gear. This is a temporary fix, as all that low level currency you have accumulated while going through the campaign will run out, then what? With a PREMIUM STASH tab, as mentioned above, you can sell stuff you find. A chaos here, a chaos there, it adds up. Bottom line PoE is hard for newbies, much harder than it might seem, in part due to the problems you have encountered over poverty, and how difficult it is for somebody with no knowledge of the game to accumulate currency.
