Is Increased Rarity Support worth it?

I'm sure anyone did the math during the last 10 years to find the sweet spot between increased damage and increased rarity. Am interested especially in SSF data. :)

gold rings and gold amulet Should be enough.
Sometimes. I'll put one in while leveling up if one happens to drop on a SSF character that has a slot open for it.
it used to be that IIR helped you find more rares

(some the base types you wanted, and you id them, but others
you didnt. and used them in chaos recipy)

especially with heist.... chaos recipy is far less relevant
as simply power running more heists pays well on its own.

power run more maps to get more contracts to powerrun more
more heists....

dont get me wrong, chaos recipy has also been enhanced.
heists drop not only more jewlery but also and newly 30%
quality rares on occasion. which gets you more efficiently
to that 20% all item 3 chaos recipy. add to that how much more
common blacksmiths and armorers are.... yea chaos recipy is greatly
amplified. but most will look at the raw throughput of currency
sufficient to ignore IIR and just thrash with kill speed. taking
only good currency in order to save time. (ignoring alts, jewelers,
blesseds, armorer/blacksmith shards)

they faster you clear and the more you clear the more you get
currency and map drops.

that being said... IIR results in more unid magic rare and unique
map drops. which have better overall quant and rarity when you run them
(more likely to get unique maps, tho unid doesnt add to their quant or iir)

leading to more maps. and unid chaos recipy items.

if you engage in chaos recipy often. I advise collecting some simple
IIR gear to keep on the side. level up IIR support gem, have an adnvarious, maybe aursieze gloves in your stash

when you find you have mass ilvl 78 jewlery but no other items to complete the recipy.... whip out your IIR gear, run tier 5 master missions later tier 10 missions. get <ilvl 75 completion items
and master experience, crafting options and zana completion at t1 might allow buying a new t16.

most people dont take chaos recipy as serious as just thrashing mass heists in rapid fire. but not everyone can.
On paper, both IIR and IIQ are good for SSF, because you get more uniques/map. But since maps sustaining is not that much of an issue, usually you are 10x better if you're able to clear maps faster. If replacing IIR with a DPS support allows you to reduce the time spent in a map, then clearly DPS support is better.

For example if with IIR you clear a map in 6 minutes, and with DPS support you clear the same map in 4 minutes, then you can clear 50% more maps per hour, which results in a lot more loot then with IIR support.

If you have gem sockets available, you can link a skill with Culling Strike and IIR, to get more loot from bosses - this should not hurt your clear speed.
