Real talk, why did ANYONE play this league to begin with? I pretty much ignored everything related to Heist, got my 12 challenges like the casual peasant that I am, and fucked off to another game.

definitely had nothing to do with the brand new expansion for a game he plays on and off being released though

Makes sense to switch games, otherwise they will burn out playing the same thing for ages. But not all PoE streamers are WoW tryhards and will skip it in max. 2 weeks to check whats new.
The new expansion seems to make it even more easier to skip leveling content due to Threads of Fate, so they can easly devour all available pre-raid content and speedrun gearing ,with multiple classes, in no time. Masterpiece of 3.16 lore "A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. PoE leagues usually have its fewest players in the 3rd month, and this is a 4 month league where people are likely taking a break before the events coming up.
