So...after playing this game for over 1200+ hrs, I just started having an issue where i can no longer copy things from, say, trade site and paste it into the game. I have tried copying just small amounts of text, but no avail. Started today, and i cannot find a solution at all. Tried reinstalling keyboard drivers, closing other programs etc. but nothing has worked
No, i dont use AHK, Overwolf, etc.
Tried using Steam overlay to copy as i found in a solution but that didnt work.
using Ctrl+v to paste into other things works, but not PoE.

That is because you have assigned CTRL+V to something else in PoE.
So check you key settings in the PoE client.

That is because you have assigned CTRL+V to something else in PoE.
So check you key settings in the PoE client.
I would agree, if that were the case. Have reset keybinds to default numerous times. This also occurred randomly with no adjustment of ANY keybinds. Worked fine one session, stopped working the next.

Last time I encountered the similar issue was few years ago:
PoE client chat has certain message length limit, you can't paste a message that exceed that limit. The limit is externally adjustable, and the issue was - ggg has set the limit to like 60 symbols if you haven't login into your account within a week.
That was an annoying way to fight spambots and it was fixed pretty fast.
Problem: impostor syndrome
Solution: nerf everything
Result: depressing mess

It shows my second skill bar. But this has never been an issue.
Heres a timeline of events:
Played PoE, Copy/paste working as intended.
Closed game, shut down computer, went to bed.
Came back next day, pasting no longer worked.
Things that may have changed that could have affected it
-Installed a game
-Streamed..?
I have spent about 2 hours researching different solutions, including virus protection, altered keybinds, background programs that could be running, etc. and no solution worked. Maybe its a windows issue? But it works in other programs.

Negative. It is not bound to anything. As i said, I have reset keybinds numerous times to see if that was the issue, but nothing has fixed it...

I had this problem with another program, 2 fixes for you:
1. Open command prompt and left click icon
Select properties
Tick Enable Ctrl key shortcuts
Tick OK
2. I had to use File Copy and File Paste to copy paste and it fixed itself after a few sessions. Only happened to one program. I just put it down to a Clipboard hiccup.
Tne Command Prompt fix allows copy paste into the command prompt, other places, Notepad etc. still work. I do not know how GGG has their copy commands setup but it may be through the command exe.
Another of lifes many mysteries.
