Linking a corrupted 6 socket items issue

Hey guys

I have a corrupted 6 sockets chest
I want to 6L it by craft bench.

I know it cost 1500 vaal + 1500 fuses

I would like to know if I could use "Two Linked Sockets" option to fuse it
as it cost 1fuse + 1vaal only.
Just as we fusing a normal 6 sockets item with extra vaal cost each click.

I searched google and forum, but seems no one have try this method.

Just wanna know is that possible or I MUST use 1500/1500 option ONLY?

Thanks! :)

That wont work because you just end up with 2 links everytime. Its not random like when using fusings normally.

So yes, for a corrupted item you must use the 6 link recipe.

that option is not 'at least 2 linked sockets'. that option is literally '2 linked sockets'.
It's "first 2 sockets are linked".

i am wondering though, what is the behaviour of the rest of the sockets (because ive never actually used it)

does it always leave the other 4 unlinked, or could you end up with a 2link + 4link?
I just used about 100 vaal orb to test

Found out the upper right socket2 and socket3 will NEVER linked by
using this option...

so it is proven I can use the 1500/1500 only :(

so sad....

The others are random. You can get a 2L and a 4L using just "two links" recipe.

However, in my over 50 fuse experiment, not even once I got the first 2 links connected with any other socket. So it seems it's not possible to get a 6L using this crafting method, but you can get a 2L + 4L quite easily.
