How to spawn shaper/elder influence?

Hello! I've been playing POE since the league began and I'm at 128/154 completed maps on the atlas, and the elder or shaper influence never spawned on my atlas. What can I do to spawn it? Did they remove it? I've been trying to research this topic for a while and found nothing.

Scarabs are the only way for you to give a map Shaper or Elder influence. Those Scarabs can also be applied to Atlas zones which are influenced by a Conqueror - in that case, both the Influences will be there, allowing for item of one or the other influence (not both!) to drop inside that specific influenced map
Zana can occasionally sell you Shaper-influenced and Elder-influenced maps. Those influences are implicit, so you can scour and modifiy them at will. Also, Shaper guardians and Elder guardians are always Shaper- and Elder-influenced |

As you may have gathered from the comments above, the short answer is that things have changed considerably from what you remember. Shaper and Elder influence really only applies to individual maps for that one map run - you can't spawn it, maintain it, or grow it in the atlas.
You can still spawn Elder and Shaper to fight by running the guardian maps you find/buy for fragments. I assume you've been spawning the conquerors and Sirus; that's the current atlas end-game mechanic. Shaper and Uber Elder are there for people who still want them though. |

And, of course, you can occasionally buy maps from Zana that are Elder/Shaper influenced.

"  War Among the Stars just adds some extra mobs inside a map, which have a base chance to drop influenced items depending if they are Elder or Shaper. Influencing a whole map is a different thing altogether, and I cannot see anything on War Among the Stars that states maps affected by the Watchstone are both Shaper and Elder-influenced (which should be impossibile unless Metamorph changed something) |

True on a technicality but we all know OP doesnt give a damn about influence he wants those drops.

but... influence is what makes the drop happen in the first place, unless you are going with War among the Stars or you are running a Cortex/Memory which clearly gives monsters inside there a base chance for Shaper/Elder item to drop.
Still, yeah, let's just agree on the asterisk merits. The more the merrier, expecially here in this game :D |
