This is not a bug.
The corruption replaced the socket implicit for the Pride effect implicit. The ring no longer has a socket and consequently no gem can be socketed in it. Last edited by twitticles#7701 on Oct 28, 2020, 9:05:22 PM

then why is the ring available still and the ring itself is dependent upon whatever gem is socketed so the ring is worthless and shouldn't exist in the game period & should have been removed completely or should function as it should normally

I see the addition of pride but they could implicitly say the corruption negated the socket

It honestly ONLY applies to items whos implicit is has a socket- if you corrupt that- it no longer has a socket. Pretty simple.
