Official trade macro or some other price checking mechanic

I know it's been mentioned quite a bit (usually within the context of 'blessing' third party utilities), but is it on the horizon at all to make any kind of official, in-game price checking tool? I'm aware of the stance on any kind of auction house, but having to alt tab to a browser to check the price of something is extremely tedious and just feels bad.

It seemed like there was a need for some kind of mechanism to search for trades, and after enough third party tools were developed, GGG decided to make something official. Wondering if there's been any notion of something like that happening here (for current PoE or PoE2). I can't remember if anything was said at ExileCon regarding the subject.
