Brooch "Chance to Duplicate X" mods have no effect.
After Vinderi was fixed, and his duplication chance would proc when opening a chest, I began to wonder why I hadn't seen anything like that happen with any other chest with the appropriate mod on the Brooch.
When Vinderi's effect triggers, the items from the chest drop, and immediately the begin to drop again, down to rares having the same mods, and mod values. I crafted a Foliate Brooch with the "Heist Chests have a 15% chance to duplicate contained divination cards" mod. With equipping that to either Gianna(Deception) or Nennet(Perception) I opened a total of 57 Divination chests. With a 15% success rate, the is an 85% chance that it won't occur upon opening a chest. And to calculate the probability of a success of an event occurring that one failure or success has no impact on the result of the next try you would take the chance of failure, and multiply it by itself to see what the chance would be for 2 chests. With 57 attempts that would be .85^57 which gives a result of 0.00009481537. Or 0.009481537% that there wouldn't be at least one "success" in 57 attempts. Out of those 57, 5 contained a card that WAS duplicated, but the other cards in the chest were not. These are the highlighted ones on the spreadsheet below. The mod text reads that it would duplicate all contained cards. So it seems that these mods either do not function at all, or the wording of the mod is misleading, and means something completely different that what it appears to be. I recorded every opening on video, and reviewed each after I opened all the chests to verify what came out of each chest, in case any stacks were mixed up. ![]() If anyone from GGG want's the videos of the openings, I can upload it somewhere. I'm honestly not sure. Grimro mentioned recently in a video that he "thought" they weren't having an effect, and that's what led me to do this, as I was wondering if they were working in the beginning, and more so after the Vindiri fix. Before I typed everything up I tried to see if there were another posts about the mods, but couldn't find one

Agreed. Been heisting alot with the brooch and never noticed duped drops from brooch effects.
But when Vinderi got fixed, I definitely saw a difference in using him. So, seems weird how its not been addressed yet. Delve Char: _DivineFlurry

This seems to be true in my case as well. So much for minmaxing brooches for contracts and especially blueprints.
Maybe quantity/rarity on brooches also don't work, but this is impossible to verify on user's end. I wouldn't be surprised, seeing how duplicate chance is bugged and +level on another rogue equipment also was, until latest patch. |

It still not working. How much time until they fix that? I fell waisted time and currency crafting broochs with double 15%.
