Dark Pact & Arcanist Brand - weird position shift mid spell

Hi there,
I see Dark Pact as a nova-like spell, that can be cast around u or ur skeletons. In combination with arcanist brand, frostnova is cast at the brands location. For Dark Pact (without skeletons present) it seems,when triggered by Arcanist Brand it is also cast at the brands location, but then the life-cost triggers on the hero, which transfers the damaging nova-effect to happen around the character and not the brand. I hope this is not intended, and will be fixed. cheers

Can you one day make it behave differently with Arcanist Brand so that Arcanist Brand Dark Pact can be a cool thing to do?
