Bizarre Crackling Lance bug that "shocks" chests on Volcano Map

So I was firing off crackling lance in the Volcano map when I realized that the chests there are getting the shock effect. I'm not sure if this is purely visual, but it looks utterly bizzare as its the same effect on the shocked monsters.
