Swift Assembly Support + Cluster Traps changes Cluster Trap behavior

When throwing traps at my feet, Cluster Traps Support will cluster them up right around me, no more than ~20 units away. This still works when I add most other supports, like Multiple Traps Support.
Where it breaks is when I add Swift Assembly Support. Throwing traps at my feet results in traps flying in random directions, as far as the edge of my screen, no longer clustered at all. It's only an interaction between these two support gems, and Swift Assembly Support by itself works fine.
