keeping a golem alive

on a non minion build, what are the 4 best gems to keep a golem alive? i just want the buff from the golem, and i would like to cast it as rarely as possible. what are the 4 best gesm for it? right now im thinking golem-minion life-life leech- fortify. is there a better gem setup?

minionlife-elemental army - meatshield. Or Fortify instead of meatshield if meleegolem, or life leech. Empower also would be very good. + level to socketed minion gems helmet would be best, because levels are big for minion survivability (base hp). Elemental army imo is a must, because otherwise their resistances are undercapped. If the golem is crucial for you, you might also consider getting additional minionres on a jewel. (For nonminionbuilds that's usually a brick, so it won't make the jewel more expensive.)

I gave up trying to keep non minion build golems alive. I just put them on cast when damage taken now and don’t worry about it,.

Golems need a way to regain life.
So, either take minion life regen nodes, use a socket for a Primordial Harmony, or use Life Leach Support. Golems need to cap elemental resists, just like you do. They have base 40% ele resists. Elemental Army support, minion resist nodes, or minion resistance on jewels All of this will make your golems slightly less squishy. Non minion builds have to resummon golems often, hand cast or CWDT. That's just the way it is. As was stated above, golem buffs not really worth 4 links. |
