Crit immunity with Mistwalker node?

Hello friends!
Do I understand it correctly that if I get the Mistwalker node in Assassin class I become immune to all crits?
That sounds too good to be true.
I think in HC crits are a huge danger and just scipping the whole thing is the most OP defensive trait in game, no?

Depending on your concept of "immunity", which is a special world in PoE.

When having Mistwalker, and while being at least 1% Elusive, critical strikes will not deal you extra damage. In other words, they will be treated as ordinary hits. They will still inherently apply ignition, chill and shock if applies, and will still activate any "onCrit" effect you may have (for example, Word of Reflection on Critical Strike).

It's not a 0% damage, but will avoid you those "How in the WORLD a frigging white rat one-shotted me in this ma- oh right, the 400% critChance modifier. FML." moments

Taking no Extra Damage from Critical Hits can also be found in The Brass Dome. Assassin just find a way to get the same buff while still being light on their feet... and avoid farming a Guardian for it.
It's only while you have Elusive up.
But yeah, it's a very good defensive layer.
It doesn't protect you from literally everything though.
You can also use Withering Step with it but that ends when you use a skill

So it does mean what it literally sais.
That makes my choise for HC starter betwean Assassin and Elementalist.
I really like the Elementalist's reflect immunity and elemental ailments immunity too.
Not sure which one is more helpfull lategame though.

yes I plan to use Armageddon Brand with Cast while Channeleling cyclone. So should have Elusive up all the time.

Assassin's "cannot take reflected damage from critical hits" beats Elementalist's "cannot take reflected elemental damage", provided you find somehow a way to have 100% critChance without resorting to Power Charges (a single non-crit and you are dead, so not hardcore-viable)

I... don't quite see the synergy between CwC Cyclone and Armageddon Brand. Actually, I can't see why supporting any Brand with CwC. Perhaps I've missed something on 3.11's rework on brand.
Oh thats not the topic but if youre interested:

I play on console and found it really comfortable to spin around zones/maps while brands kill everything. Ive only gotten to maps in 3.11 though (HC).
The benefit is only in playstile.
WHite mobs die as soon as they appear. For bosses you just let minions tank while you spin around constantly auto applying brands.
Its similar to totem playstile but brands have a little of a auto reposition fuction whch totems dont and also totems dont work with CwC.
Just a laid back 1 button playstile. Also very mistake-proof for HC. Now im triyng to min-max a little for 3.12.
