Totem + Pathfinder's Master Toxicist

Hi.

My question is, does Master Toxicist's 40% chance to deal double poison damage work with totems?

I see the bonus applied in POB, but the wording "poisons you inflict" suggests otherwise.

I think it does and totems count as you in some cases, but I do not have a reference to back me up for this particular case.

If it applies in PoB, it is a strong indicator that it applies ingame. PoB is not always correct, but it is most of the time. Even compared to other sources like the wiki, PoB typically has the highest degree of accuracy.
I agree; I think it does as well. Totems typically receive your damage stats, unlike mines, traps, and minions which require their own unique stat (again I think that’s how they work). Here is an old build that appears to confirm the assessment.
Thank you guys.

I'll try to do some further testing but it's kind of hard to test poison damage in game.:(
If it did not work, it would be a major bug.

Totems act as your proxy, all on hit effects work with them.
For the purposes of computing damage, a totem acts as if you were casting the spell.

(On kill effects do not, however, work with totems.)

Not quite.

Mines, Traps and Totems are proxy of your skill. As Odif stated, a proxy acts as if you were casting the spell, or performing the attack. They differ from brands because they are actually "living" things and will get awards for any onHit effect and any onKill effect (except death by DoT, which are always awarded to you). But, nevertheless, increasing your statistics will indeed make them perform better overall. Other than generic boosts from your character's statistics, they will also get awarded (obviously) from bonus that are specifically applied to them, so a spell totem will get a boost both from "+x% cast speed" and "Spells used by totems have +x% cast speed".

Minions, on the other hands, are Minions. By design, only modifiers and statistics with "minions" or "allies" will apply to them. No other bonus will apply to a Minion, with the exception, as the Minionmeister Odif would confirm, are boost to IIQ/IIR granted by your equipment, which will apply also to kills made by your minions (after all, when a minion kills something, YOU get the flask charge)
Increasing your projectile damage will increase the damage of your self-cast Fireball, your Holy Flame totem, your Lightning Trap and your Pyroclast Mine, but will not boost your Redemption Sentry damage, because the latter is a minion.

As for the magic word, "You", it usually means "you yourself". "Yourself" as in Ancestral Bond's "You cannot deal damage with your skills yourself". Usually, bonus applied when "you" do something is when your character does that something. An Ascendant Berserker's "+2% of damage leeched as life and mana if you have killed recently" will not apply if her Ancestral Protector lands a killing blow - only when she herself culls an enemy with a hit, or if the Ancestral Protector applies a DoT strong enough to finish the enemy.

BUT!!

According to a similiar question on Reddit, since totems, traps and mine "inherits" all offensive bonus from their user,
Master Toxicists' "Poisons you inflict during any Flask Effect have 40% chance to deal 100% more Damage" should actually work!

Also, "100% more damage =/= double damage". "Double Damage" is another magic word and is a totally different mechanic from the usual "increased/more" game
