Because people are gambling with them. Harvest craft gambles.The demand went up.

What Gulch is referring about is the "Sacrifice half a stack, get 0 to double the sacrificed stack of that card" Mod. In other words you can potentially fill a House of Mirror stack with just 1 card. You must be very lucky to always get +1 of the sacrificed stack every time... and never so unlucky as to hit 0.
