Shockwave does not get the damage boost from Fortify support in tooltip

I know that shockwave does not trigger fortify buff, but i'm assuming that it will receive the damage boost because both gems have the melee tag. POB shows that it receives the damage boost, but no damage boost in tooltip. Which one is correct? POB or tooltip?

The shockwave doesn't "hit", so it's not a melee hit. The reason that the shockwave support has the melee tag is that it needs a melee attack to trigger the shockwave. That doesn't make the shockwave a melee attack.

Should it be? That's a judgement call. You might find support if you posted this in the gem feedback section for the Shockwave Support. They would need to change the wording to "deals melee attack damage" from "deals attack damage".

I just tested this myself and it seems like it doesn't when it really should. It could be that fortify support doesn't hold the "Attack" tag and is messing with it. This seems like a weird bug to me.

Pretty sure it does hit though, as it can apply ailments like bleed, poison.

Shockwave is technically a triggered skill (it's triggered when the skill supported by Shockwave Support hits), and Fortify Support can't support triggered skills.
