How does Ryslatha's Coil work?

How does it actually work?
Seen some guides but I'd love a better understanding of the belt. ![]() We have these 2 stats for example, 31% and 38%. Which one do I want max, which one do I want min ? Last bumped on Jul 21, 2020, 11:53:03 AM

you want less minimum dmg on this belt and more maximum dmg
remember that more =/= increased more dmg is actually better thats why this belt is GG for melee obviously is you do less minimal dmg, your overall dps will skyrocket Last edited by Zebedin#5037 on Jul 21, 2020, 6:42:44 AM

It widens your damage range.
If for example you are dealing 50-100 damage, you will now deal 25-125 damage. Depending on the roll of the mods, you can get a sample damage range of 40-125 damage instead, which is an overall increase. |

The average DPS remains the same, just its range widens. That's with equal affix rolls, otherwise maximum damage gain could be up to 10% more, with perfect rolls.
IMO the use of this belt is only justified by getting Dance with Death from Brutal Restraunt jewel and go crit. Otherwise it's meh. This is a buff © 2016

You should look a little more closely at your calculations before writing it off.

Its best in slot for bleed builds. Since only the highest bleed counts you attack until you get that massive high end damage bleed.
Not sure how well it functions on other builds though. Last edited by gladiatorpie#3317 on Jul 21, 2020, 11:09:15 AM

" Not as nice as with bleed, but still good. Average rolls (close to same roll for both min and max) will get you 6-8% more base weapon phys damage depending on the initial range. "Good" rolls (i.e. high max and low min) can get you 12-13% more weapon base. Once you've got a decent 6L and weapon (which might be the same piece...) Ryslatha's is a pretty good choice to boost your phys dps if you don't need the belt slot for something else. Whether there are better choices for min maxing will depend on the particular build. |
