Colossus Mallet vs Karui Maul, which one is better for damage?

So i was wondering which of those two could do more damage with one hit.
Colossus Mallet has build in 30% area damage, but then again Karui Maul has much more base damage. The Path of Exile gamepedia says that there is only a 10 dps difference between those two, but im not sure if they count as well the build in area damage from Colossus Mallet. The listed dps for the colossus does not include the implicit.
So much is build dependent. The Karui would be better for a slower, heavier hitting build, especially if you're focused on stun. The Colossus would be better for a faster or crit-based build. 30% increased area damage isn't going to make that much difference once you have a ton of increased in your build, so I wouldn't make that the main decider. But use PoB to model the difference. |
