Windows 10 real-time protection antivirus preventing game from saving settings

I already tried setting everything to be write-able and put the entire PoE folder in exceptions and the MyGames folder in documents, but still.
As soon as I turn on real time protection no settings get saved, and changing from Vulcan to DX11 or the opposite crashes the game with the antivirus on.
any other place I need to set the exclusion to?

what if you turn the protection on, and then run the game as "administrator".
I am running windows'10 and never had any problems with the windows protection.

Nope :\
I ran the x64.exe file as admin and still doesn't save if real-time protection is on
