Abhorrent Interrogation vs. mines/traps

Did some testing with my buddy, to whom I will refer as test subject.
Tested with level 1 BL mines with no other linked gems. Test subject was low level, uncapped on resistances. Each BL mine was detonated after the ascendancy damage buff expired (verified via tooltip) My mines definitely applied withered stacks. He could see the Withered icon debuff on his screen. Mines can still penetrate elemental resistances as they are not your hits. However, the elemental damage increase was inconclusive. Test subject couldn't see any tooltip mods under his character sheet that would indicate he is taking increased elemental damage. Damage testing showed increased damage, but not sure how much of that was attributed to shock chance. Sitting in HO spamming alts for 4 hours straight is peak PoE gameplay. Thanks, Chris. The wording on:
Abhorrent Interrogation Enemies take 4% increased Elemental Damage Taken from your hits for each Withered you have inflicted on them Is pretty different from: Saboteur - Born in the Shadows 30% increased damage with Hits and Ailments against Blinded Enemies But is similiar to Essence of Delirium Your hits inflict Decay, dealing 500 Chaos Damage per second for 8 Seconds Which is known to work with trap hits, despite the "You" in them. Thus, any hit from you yourself or a trap/mine/totem should get the Increased Elemental Damage Taken. The question is: would a Withered applied from a mine count? We know that Assassin - Toxic Delivery Poison you inflict with Critical Strikes deal 50% more Damage does apply to poison from trap, since anything that is not a Minion is just a proxy from your hits. Thus, even Withered from a trap/mine/totem should count for the scaling of Elemental Damage Taken |
