Arcanist Brand bug
If you have a setup similar to this...
Arcanist Brand + Wave of Conviction + Curse on Hit + Elemental Weakness When you cast AB, it does correctly trigger WoC. However, WoC does not trigger CoH, so EM does not ever get applied. I don't see how this should be any different than Cast When Damage Taken trigger ability. If you have CWDT + WoC + CoH + EM, the curse will get applied when WoC is triggered by CWDT. So why doesn't the curse apply when WoC hits after AB triggers it? Last edited by SkylerOG#3817 on Jun 24, 2020, 5:47:40 PM Last bumped on Jun 24, 2020, 9:51:37 PM

The Curse skill has two triggers applying to it - Arcanist Brand and Curse on Hit. Skills with multiple triggers are disabled.
The reason this is different with Cast when Damage Taken is that support gem has a level requirement restriction on what it can support, so if the curse has a high enough level requirement, that second trigger won't apply to the curse, and thus the curse will only have one trigger. | |
"Something feels unintuitive about this, though. We spend a fortune on Awakened Curse on Hit to get the ability to apply an additional curse, but we can't use it in some conjunction with Arcanist Brand? ACoH is even taking up it's own gem slot, and waiting for Wave of Conviction to hit to perform it's purpose. But the whole thing gets disabled because 2 triggers overlap? Why can't you guys simply make it so AB can't trigger the curses, but WoC can when it hits? That's 2 completely separate actions that have to occur from 2 different triggers. It's not like AB is performing a double-action by itself. |
