Cowl of the Thermophile improves resistances when negative

Cowl of the Thermophile, Cowl of the Cryophile, Cowl of the Ceraunophile all increase resistances which are "reduced" when your resistances are negative which seems incorrect.

Not a bug, reduce the value with a multiplier, negative or not doesn't matter.

It sound weird in real world (and science and eng math)

But it is how in-game calcuation work

Say, -10% lightning res

a 0.5 multiplier would bring it to -5% lightning res

Just don't ask it is not logical in real world sense

However, as mentioned, it's not technically a less modifier, but it does work like Neohongkon stated.

Just to clarify for anyone else thinking this is a good helm for Doryani's prototype, it's not.
There are 2 different modifiers to understand:
- minus to a resist (ex, -50% to fire resist)
- reduced % of a resist (ex, -50% reduced fire resist).

People misunderstand the item and think it's like the first statement, meaning if you have 10 resist, it would go down to -40 (10-50 = -40). However, that's not the wording. The item states reduced % of resistance, meaning it reduces your current resist by that amount. In this same case, if you have 10 resist, it would reduce it by 50% (10 x 0.5 = 5% resist).

If you were to use it with much lower resist, say -100 using various items, putting this helmet on would make it so you'd reduce that total resist by 50% (-100 x 0.5 = -50% resist). I know it's a bit counterintuitive, but it makes sense once you understand these are two different concepts.

Hope that was clear enough, and helps whoever initially planned to use these items for their prototype build, I've tried it and it failed :)
another problem is the measure unit of res is %

% increase of % may confuse people

-% of % also

% increase of "res unit" not confuse people

minus "res unit" of "res unit" not confuse people

Also the more/less modifier increased/reduced modifier between zero is not logical for people when they thick of temperature (we don't know minus absolute zero mean. and 0C and 0F actually arbitrary point and WON'T have flip behaviour
