Gain a power charge after spending 200 mana

Hello,

So Im just a casual scrub playing mostly on standard nowadays, with a passion for self casting discharge.

And while exploring a concept for a build using a occultist I ran into the following senario.

When using discharge with a exact cost of 200 mana, while having no other charges then 5 endurance charge, a power charge gets generated due to the occulitst "Forbidden power" node, because we spend 200 mana.

So far so good.

Due to discharge consuming the power charge it immidiatlly dissapears and we are left to conclude it was consumed by discharge, which is what I was aiming for.

However no lightning damage is applied by that discharge to the enemy that I used it on.

Which seems strange to me, even the tooltip dps of discharge momentarily takes the power charges into account as I can see both my dmg and crit chance go up for a split second.

But according to both the Elemental Equilibrium effect on the monster and the actual colour of the discharge no lightning dmg is applied, the enemy stays vunerable to lightning dmg and no blue colour gets mixed into the animation either.

(I checked multiple times, theres no minimum charges scenario that prevents my power charges from being consumed and no avatar of fire shenanigans)

I might be mistaken, but shouldnt lightning damage be applied trough this method?

Didn't GGG change the GFX of discharge (because of LAG) so discharge ONLY shows the GFX for the damage with the MOST charges --> so you will only see the GFX for the endurance charges.....
its not just the colour im basing this on, EE states the enemy to be vunerable to lightning dmg, aka it didnt get hit by lightning dmg, and there is a significant dmg increase missing, also im actually consuming more power charges (11 power charges 5 endurance) then endurance charges with my current setup, yet the colour remains red, so your theory only further proves my point.
