Help with The Crusader quest.

So, I haven't played POE since POE 2 announcement, and the Atlas changed a lot meanwhile. Right now I'm trying to progress the main quest but I'm stuck in "The Crusader", this is what my quest says:

And Baran never spawns, I'm rushing yellow maps with the exact same tier and same name that is in my Atlas, and nothing. Searching, I found some people saying to change hideout, logoff, and try again, this didn't work, remove the watchstone, run one white map, put the watchstone and try again, didn't work either. I'm stuck in yellow maps and all my red maps or anything else didn't drop endgame maps anymore.

I need some help/tips, playing low-level areas with my endgame char is boring me.

Thats a classic.

See, "The Elderslayers" tells you where you need to go. Corners of the Atlas are Haewark Hamlet/Lex Ejoris/New Vastir/Lira Arthain.
Baran can only spawn where a Crimson Watchstone is still obtainable.
To see which Watchstone is obtainable just move your Cursor over those boxes on the left side on your Atlas.

Dudeee!!! Finally!!! I was thinking I had to do maps where at least one Watchstone is socketed to proceed with the quest!!!

It looks like you have one citadel in HH and that one stone. Assuming that's true, what you need to be working on:

Run t3+ maps to get the other 7 citadels out on the atlas - one per region.

Run the corners for conquerors. But you aren't going to get Baran again yet. Each conqueror will spawn in a random corner. Since they come in cycles of 4, you will need to defeat all the other conquerors once before you can spawn any of them a second time. Also, you will not be able to spawn any conquerors in the inner regions until you have spawned each conqueror once in a corner.

Do yourself a favor and watch an atlas video. The mechanics are a bit complex and a video will help a lot.

Well, I never had a problem doing POE quests, they are always simple, and in that case, the quests says:

- Explore the maps in the corner...Ok, check;
- An unoccupied area with 1 Watchstone socketed...Yep, check;
- ?
- Where is Baran?

I just followed what the quest says, and as I said before, searching, people had similar problems, I thought it's a bug or I was doing something wrong... and it ends with the quest not being clear enough at least for me (And Deathdrep saying "That's a classic." looks like more people had the same problem, quest design problem, I think).

I think they shouldn't show The Crusader quest until searching all corners, and maybe something like: "Search for ~name~ in another corner"

This kind of confusion happend to 3 gaming buddies, at first we thought of a bug too but in the end, it was THAT simple xD

But yeah, its probably the most confusing questline in PoE
