Poe labeled as a "gambling" game on Nvidia's Geforce NOW platform

In many posts i can read "but the game is free to play" which is true but only for a very short time, after that you cant do much without special tabs (and no premium == pain).

In path of exile Mtx loot boxes are gambling (vs $/€...) that anyone know.

At this point i was curious if some day a powerful new skill could be released, but with a very flashy default gfx effect, and if the only way to tune it down is to get a specific effect only available thought Mtx loot box...

As it should be.

In EU all of these loot box games are gambling games. I think there was an incentive to make loot boxes show what you going to get when opening it. But i don't know at what stage it is now.

Especially for games not coming from the EU.

This only means 1 thing: if GGG/Tencent want to make money they have to - introduce P2W first and make enough money fast - before this regulation occurs.

Strict changes (at least in the EU) are inevitable, and it's coming soon.
It's been a fairly prominent discussion over the last year, and the data obtained during this lockdown has only shone an even brighter light on how bad the issues it causes really are.

All of these ruthless companies that are praying on children to make profits are about to get a rude awakening. It's a disgusting trend that's grown over the last 10 years. Changes can't come soon enough IMO.

luckily mtx boxes not affect stats.

I think tencent version is going to make it soon.

Speaking of lootboxes, lotteries and such, AFAIK in China you must provide exact chances of obtaining something from it IF they are not free, but it can be avioded like actiblizzard did with hearthstone - they sell pixel dust for money with card packs attached to it as a "free bonus".

What it means is that instead of loot boxes they'll just move it all straight to purchasable MTX like they do after the box is discontinued.

Fact is GGG do not add anything in those boxes that are required to play the game (no boosts of any sort or actual items) they display what you can get in the box and what the chances are of getting the items AND in the same post they tell you that it will be available for purchase later, they done this way before the whole loot box is gambling drama....lootboxes are for people that want to show off

The lockbox contents are and have always been 100% cosmetic.
