Spell echo/Greater spell echo should NOT support Spectre summoning

This is ridiculous.

I have now spent like 20 minutes trying to summon 5 of the chosen spectre I wanna try. I always keep getting one or two random skeletons because Greater Spell Echo doesn't care and just keeps on going.

Please, for the love of Gods, disable or allow us to disable the initial summoning of minions that run Pledge of Hands (Greater Spell Echo) and/or Spell Echo.

Took me 3 esh breachstones and about 50 minutes to finally get 5 spectres of the same kind. Ridiculous.

Now I have to change some sockets around in my boots which grant me +1 to spectre levels (in my case +1 spectre because of it), meaning I will once again have to go through this painful experience.

This definitely needs to be looked into.

NVM see Pledge of hands. You should lead with that.

It's right there in my initial post that I use Pledge of Hands (Greater Spell Echo is mentioned as well).

For spell echo, you can just unsocket it before summoning spectres
For greater spell echo, you can use the following procedure:
1) Equip a staff in the weapon swap slot.
2) Socket a raise spectre gem at the same position. For example, if a raise spectre gem is socketed in the top left of Pledge of Hands, socket another raise spectre gem in the top left of the staff in the weapon swap.
3) Raise spectres using the staff in the weapon swap slot.
4) Swap your weapon to Pledge of hands.

I agree that GGG should do something, but for now this is the best procedure.

You could just target the corpses of the wrong monsters and summon them as zombies. Anyway, I agree that GGG should change this because there is no good reason that the raise spectre gem should work this way.

That's... actually... I haven't thought of that. Good work-around and easy to execute. Thank you.

I ended up going back to Redemption Sentries anyway. They have the same if not better damage output with my setup, and even better - don't cause major FPS drops.

You can detonate dead the corpses you don't need
Need more brains, exile?

One more trick for you. If you have at least 1 spectre what you need, you can just immediately leave the location and go to hideout. And desecrate in Hideout - it will mandatory spawn the corpses of the monsters you have as spectres.
