How many times do bosses usually spawn in a Simulacrum run?
|
I just did my first simulacrum and it was a weird experience. From reading the wiki I thought I have to face Omniphobia and Kosis one time each. Also, when I read people talking about it they talk about when they have to face Kosis for example, but they don't talk about when they have to face him over and over. But I ended up having to fight each of them THREE TIMES. I was so hyped the first time I beat each one, it was the most fun I've had in this game going through the simulacrum to that point, but by the third time it was just exhausting and spoiled the experience quite a bit.
Was I just (un)lucky, or is this the normal? I also didn't have Kosis on wave 20 as the wiki says is "guaranteed" to spawn, so that was a (welcome) let down. The third time i faced omniphobia i was picked into a high chaos resistance modfier and i'm all chaos damage, I died three times and it took forever to kill Omniphobia. If simulacrum is normally like facing these two super meatbag bosses over and over again I'll sell mine in the future because it's just too much of a chore, holy crap. Simulacrum experience went from hero to zero for me real fast, now it leaves a bad memory. But it still feels satisfying to get through wave 20 on my first try! :) I know i could have gotten Kosis and Omni at same time if unlucky, but I thought I still only have to kill them once, imagine getting them both on same wave like 5+ times in a row, which apparently can happen. Even if you can survive that it would take hours to finish for most people and be boring as fuck after the first 10-15 minutes. TLDR: How many times do you typically face the bosses when doing a simulacrum run? What is your personal experience? Also, one more question for the experts: does it matter how fast you kill the mobs in simulacrum? Wiki says the wave lasts until you kill all of them so I thought it didn't matter, but? The loot I got was pretty good, including a raw exalt drop, so I'm not complaining about that, just wondering. Nobody?
I found this reddit thread from a couple weeks ago discussing the same thing, so apparently it is unusual to have them spawn multiple times like that, or was for most of the season: https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/g6owge/simulacrum_bugs_regarding_perma_allocation_and/ I'll go ahead and post this in the bug forum too in case it is unintended behavior. fat guy is guaranteed to spawn in first 15 waves i think and then rng what you get after. Maybe kossis is guaranteed too in 20 waves not sure

also i dont get what your problem is. You don't like when bosses spawns in simulacrum? And you've done 1 so far with 6 bosses in it? That's very unlikely i'd say, mostly just 2-3 per map. There is a challenge to kill both bosses in 1 wave so if you had that then you are lucky. And to be honest i'm surprised you did it at all as soulrend hiero lol (?!?)

" I don't have a problem, but you seem to -- ?? How many times did you do simulacrum and how many times did you see more than two boss spawns? If you looked at the reddit thread I shared there was a guy who said he did simulacrum dozens of times and only recently started seeing several boss spawns, could be a bug or unintended behavior. I posted because it seemed strange but I don't know what is typical since I haven't done it dozens of times. |

" While I haven't ran hundreds of simuls, I frequently see 3 boss spawns. I think I saw a 4 spawn once, nothing above that. Also - isn't the overarching goal of running simuls to spawn bosses and go for the chance for a voices drop? I understand the risk and potential deaths, but the payoff should be worth it if you can guarantee a full clear. |

For most Simulacrums I find 3 bosses, but had some with 5+. Usually I stop after wave 17-18 if I already got the Delirium reward, because simply it's not worth it. If I got the Delirium drop, for sure I wont get another for last waves.

" Is that right, Voices can only drop from Omni or Kosis? It's hard to find any reliable info because wiki info is very limited and doing searches brings up 99% threads of speculation from people on reddit in March about how they . How can anyone even tell what the bosses drop in Simulacrum? My experience from killing Omni 3-4 times in full delirium and Kosis one time in full delirium is that they have never dropped an interesting loot. Btw guys, I now read that you get "one unique Delirium drop" per Simulacrum run, is that just a myth? I definitely cleared all 20 waves but didn't get any delirium unique in my run. EDIT: oops, i was wrong, i did get Split Personality just didn't realize it is a Delirium unique! Last edited by Harvey_Rabbit#6069 on May 6, 2020, 2:20:59 PM

" You got one. Either a split personality, megalomaniac, assassliam, perfidy, those crap boots, gloves i can't remember, or if it was your lucky day a voices. You'll always drop 1 simulacrum unique per full simulacrum - and only one per simulacrum. Seems to only drop in a wave you kill a boss though (and not necessarily the first boss) |

" Oh thank you! I looked back over what possible Delirium uniques there are, you're right I got Split Personality, didn't realize it is a Delirium unique lol. Hmmm, quitting simu run after picking up your Delirium unique like 6_din_49 suggested seems like a decent idea then. Last edited by Harvey_Rabbit#6069 on May 6, 2020, 2:18:56 PM
