Blink/Mirror Arrow minion damage is completely bugged!!!

Damage scaling on Blink Arrow & Mirror Arrow seems to be bugged, and should be looked at.



I did a few tests:


I used a lowlife Minion Instability build, to generate a single controllable hit with Mirror Arrow.

I removed everything that could skew the numbers/test. No temporary buffs, no triggers, no double damage, no aspect, no EE, no curses etc..

My average hit damage= 54k (check pob for reference)
(the hit damage does not even include Skitterbots shock)




According to poe.db, every mob in Blood Aqueducts should be a 1-shot:

The highest HP mob that I fight in my test is "Pale Commander" with 6848 HP.

It takes ~10 shots to kill a white mob.


I had a skill tree reset available so I used it and did the same test again.
I removed Ghastly Jewels and all sources of minion damage/hp on the tree.

Almost the same damage?!

It does seem like Mirror Arrow & Blink Arrow minions are unaffected by increases to minion damage and maybe even by some gems?

This needs to be adressed before 3.11
poedb is a third party site and their datamined hp values may be not matching in-game actual value. (You need to get the correct scaling formula in order to get the correct dps)


Also, GGG reserved the right to change the minion damage every league. Just it seem not good if you can't find it in patch note. Shaper hp was boosted but not well documented in patch note is an example.

The MI build was a project i had lying around for a while with a testing char in standard. Ive ran multiple tests over the last fea lagues and the setup used to 1 shot act bosses all the way up to Act 10.

Now it takes 5+ skill uses just to kill a white mob even in Act4 with lvl 20 skill gems and a 6-link.

This is not a nerf or change and has nothing to do with the hp increase of the mobs. It just broke and does not work anymore.

I got bit by this in Heist:

With L17-L18 MA, the zombies in A4 aqueducts have maybe 10% more life than the damage of MI MA detonation.

result: no matter what I link with MA, the damage is the same.
hypothesis: my minion damage in tree also has no effect, and MA MI detonation cannot be modified.

Bump, this still appears to be a problem.

Tested much in the same way: shooting single, controlled, immediately exploding low life mirror arrows in A4 aqueducts. At level 19 they hit for approximately 90% of the zombies' and infected birds' HP per hit (which in itself is very low compared to theoretical damage just from the base skill and passive nodes). Linking supports such as minion damage, minion life, conc does nothing. No difference with/without Spiritual Aid / Ancestral Bond.

For what it's worth, it appears that they may benefit from support gems if they do not immediately explode. I tested by removing the low life condition and equipping a level 1 mirror arrow and letting the clones die from mob hits. When left without supports, they barely nicked the mobs' hp on death. With an Added Cold Damage linked, the mobs were noticeably hurt by the aoe explosion.
