Blood magic resetting energy shield CDR
|
Noticed when i spent life to use skills my energy shield would behave as if i was taking dmg from outside sources, preventing it from initiating recovery. This a possible bug or just part of the functionality?
Sorta puts blood magic users at a disadvantage, energy shield wise. Have to both stop casting and avoid being hit to get your energy shield back ;p Last edited by Lythander69#0458 on Mar 23, 2013, 2:44:13 AM

Why are you trying to have an energy shield at all while using Blood Magic?

"Say hi to characters who use are using blood magic for just that Blood Magic. Let's say you want to run auras, that means you use Blood Magic for your primary attack/spell (unless you have exceptional bonus mana or reduced mana cost/reserve you will). You may in fact be using Energy Shield. That's common for Templars, some Shadows, and some Witches. IGN - PlutoChthon, Talvathir

The Covenant Unique Chest is an ES armor that grants Blood Magic. I think its a valid concern.

Anything that hurts you resets ES. This is intended.

ES recharge stops when you take damage. Think about what blood magic entails: cutting open your veins and using the blood. You are hurting and damaging yourself to cast. Yes, BM/ES do not work too well together because of the constant self mutilation.

" No offense, but I don't care what's intended. This locks out a lot of builds for no good reason. The Amazon Basin: A Community of Friends Playing Games

" At best you can call it sloppy coding if it is unintended. As GGG just stated that it is indeed intended than the builds it "locks out" are not relevant as they're not functional builds. Just the same as Chaos Inoculation and Eldritch Battery "lock out a lot of builds for no good reason". Some things do not interact favorably with one another. Ign:Sinisterdeeds

" I think what he's saying is that fans deserve a bit more than "this is intended." How about an explanation as to why? IGN: Iolar
