Password associated with account when going through Steam...
I'm trying to figure out what my password is on my account so I can set an e-mail and go switch over to the standalone client from Steam... but my Steam password doesn't work and there's no way to recover the password or anything.
Just trying to figure out how I'm supposed to bind an e-mail to an account using a password I never set when it doesn't take the password that was set on the client I logged in with... Maybe I'm just completely missing something on the page that only has four clickable options... but it would be sweet to get some help. Last bumped on Apr 9, 2020, 8:35:59 PM

" The guide from GGG is here --> If you created your Path of Exile account via Steam, it will not have an associated email address on our end. If you would like to add an email address to your Steam Path of Exile account so you may use the stand-alone client, you should be able to do so by logging into our website using the green 'Sign in through STEAM' button on our login page, then navigating to the 'change email' page here: https://www.pathofexile.com/my-account/change-email and proceeding to change the email on your account to the email you would like to sign in with on the stand-alone client for Path of Exile. So since GGG doesn't ofer account support via the forum, if you still have problems with this, then you will need to contact GGG support directly. If your Path of Exile account already has an email address attached to it, this means that you should be able to log in to the standalone game client without doing anything further.
You should be able to use the lost password tool to determine what email address and password is associated with your account by entering each email address you may recall using into the tool. It should then send an email to the email address associated with your account. If this doesn't help, feel free to contact us at support@grindinggear.com! We'll be happy to help you out with this. |
