PoE 2 servers are restarting in: .
They should be back up in approximately .CTRL+Click Currency straight to it's tab while in any tab?
|
Any chance to add a function/condition to the Currency Stash Tab to add currency straight into it through Ctrl+Click while having any other tab opened?
Or anything that has a designated tab(Currency, Uniques, Delve, Fragments, Maps, Essence, Divination Cards) to be moved straight in it's tab, through the CTRL+Click, no matter which tab the user has opened as long as the stash is opened. For the quality of life, please! Last edited by uroboros#7249 on Apr 2, 2020, 12:26:53 PM Last bumped on Apr 29, 2020, 12:14:28 PM

despite the fact that it would remove alot of micromanagement needed and so buff paid content alot, i don't know when tabs are loaded to take stress from the servers.
by default, if you enter an instance, it only loads the first 6 tabs to display them. i think this also applies if you open the stash. at some point in time, i had over 800 tabs in standard, i don't think the response time to search those tabs for the one fitting tab would be reasonable. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

This could use similar code to how map tabs operate.
Map tabs do not load all the sub-tabs instantly when you select it; you can tell by swapping around sub-tabs to ones you'd opened yet that instance, then checking again and see there's no "pop-in." (this applies to ctrl+clicking maps, which is why sometimes it lags a little) In other words, the server would just check to know what potential "target" tabs you might have exist (this might not exist in the current server code) and then attach a "catching target" to each special tab. (e.g, a "virtual slot" for divination cards in in the currency tab, for instance) It'd let the player drop divination cards in that tab, with it being scripted to shunt the divination card off to the relevant tab, same as how the map tab does if you're not looking at the right tab. In that situation, like with the map tab, it'd load up the relevant tab immediately. My guides: Summon Homing Missile (SRS) | Act II starter RF | Budget Oro's Flicker Strike

" I see your point but wouldn't the post league standard stash tabs be pick-up only by default? Last edited by uroboros#7249 on Apr 2, 2020, 4:11:21 PM

" would still leave hundreds of tabs to load. but eventually i don't know if there is a way to fast index those drop tabs. maybe it's only their unwillingness to kill micromanagement. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

" Loading is out of the question, as tabs are stored in standard league stash. Mainly because the main currency tabs has slot 1 in the list of currency tabs. The search string could just match main standard tab, the secondary string could just ignore pickup. As the program starts searching it matches the main tab without having to go through all the other ones, as the command "stop" stops the program once it matches the "one". In other words, the main standard currency tab is unique, where all other post league tabs are 1 to 100, for example; therefore the program doesn't need to scan all tabs. " THIS, And same for fossil, Essence, fragments and Maps, if you have the stash tabs. |

" You failed to read what I wrote. You're thinking it'd have to go through and pre-load an entire stash to search for "correct" tabs, when this is clearly not the case. The game has an "index" that stores only the name/color (for premium/special) and type of tab, and it loads those instantly. After all, how else is it going to show you the whole list of tabs without a laggy loading sequence? From there, all it has to do is, when handed (by ctrl+click) an item (such as a card) that doesn't fit the current special tab, is check to see what the closest matching tab is on that index, and load just that. This is very similar to what the map tab already does (where it is functionally coded as several hundred mini-tabs, and it does not load them all at once when you first click on the map tab) so the loading strain is negligible. " how i think it works: initially the game presents you just the first 6 tabs and loads them from the server. but it loads all the indices and titles of all tabs to display them in the drop down list. only if you click a tab its content is loaded from the server. which is pretty fast. why do i think it works that way? because there is still a bug if you fast move a tab (pressing the left or right arrow keys additionally to move it with the mouse) where after some seconds the tab still seems to move but it's just the headers moving and the tab is still on the old position because the tab's loading procedure is not as fast as the headers animation and the loading/moving procedure bugs out. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

The game could just load the tabs respective to what you have on inventory to ctrl-click directly to the appropriate tab. If it is an item then it takes it to regular tabs with most space, maybe you would limit how many regular tabs are loaded. Sorry if I'm suggesting something already said, this is just what I think.
