are you sure it's not just a lot of patching?
they've been patching a lot recently so there are a lot of updates. also maybe run as admin or try through the VPN if it isn't patch related. (they've been patching data files without updating the patch notes screen) |

Been having the same problem recently. I've lost count how many times it's installed v0.10.4, sometimes it downloads a few KB sometimes 40MB, but it happens every time the game is launched.
Can launch and exit the game repeatedly without even playing and on every launch it does a little "update" for v0.10.4. |

Same here

Same here...
It seems I have to patch everytime over and over again, the patch file is around the 132MB..and help? |
|
|
Still happening here, it's very annoying not only because it downloads a little something each time but also does a "Checking Resources" every time the game is started. This makes launching the game take even longer than usual, which is sometimes already slow to begin with and all exacerbated on first launch for the day.
Some support on this would be appreciated, because re-downloading 7GB just in the hopes of fixing it is excessive to say the least. Thanks. Last edited by Dercibal#7659 on Apr 8, 2013, 7:41:22 PM

No one ever answered my previous question.
Are you sure it's not just patching again because you're playing infrequently and there are patches being deployed between your play times? I get a new patch every few days it seems. Once I patch I can close and re-open PoE all I want without getting a patch. If it keeps patching every time even after it JUST patched, you might need to patch over a VPN because your content.ggpk file might be getting corrupt from cached data on your ISP. |
|
" Thought this pretty much answered it. " If the content.ggpk was corrupt I presume PackCheck.exe would point that out, it however says it's fine as it always has. |

I somehow missed that section. My apologies.
Have you attempted to patch using "Run As Administrator"? Also another option I've seen work a lot is to change the permissions on the Path of Exile folder to give "Everyone" "Full Control" (and possibly "Users" as well). Does that allow the patch to complete and stop attempting to patch? |
