I just tested this out with the Juggernaut ascendancy from Ascendant and the notable Enduring Composure from a small cluster jewel. The result is that I get 2 endurance charges per second when I'm hit recently.
(I know this is an old thread, but I still wanted to answer this, because now people who are googling this question will also get the answer they're looking for.)
