"Toggle Auto-Run Hotkey" feature request!

Every new league I try to get back into PoE, only to find pain and discomfort flaring up in my fingers/hand from holding down the mouse button to run around all the time.


And I never get this pain or discomfort when playing league of legends, even though I am constantly clicking in that game.


Constantly clicking doesn't cause pain, but holding the button down continuously does.


I guess holding down means you are exerting more total force over time, and thus straining the hand more, in simple physics terms. Although I don't really know, just my guess.


Anyways, I feel that an auto-run hotkey feature would help this immensely.


toggle on hotkey, and you start running towards your cursor.

toggle off hotkey, and you instantly stop moving.


I can emulate something like this myself using an AutoHotKey script, but I can't figure out how to INSTANTLY stop moving when I toggle off. Instead, the character 'carries on', a.k.a. continues to move to where the curser was when I toggled it off. Maybe someone knows a way to solve that? Is there some way to 'force stop' your character in place without attacking or something?


That said, I would love for there to just be an in-game feature for it instead!


Fingers crossed, everytime there's something I want to see in PoE I feel like a kid praying to santa for a christmas gift.
