The Saviour in main hand or off hand?
I couldn't find useful information about it, but what's the best way to use The Saviour sword?
This is my gear, currenlty: Forget the flasks and jewels. I have the Paradoxica on my main hand and the Saviour on my offhand. As far as I can see if I have a superb foil that beats Paradoxica then I could replace it in my main hand, look that my Paradoxica is quite shitty, so it should it be in my offhand perhaps??? I don't know, can you enlighten me please? Last bumped on Mar 6, 2020, 1:56:18 PM

Probably depends on the skill. I remember putting it in my main hand for Bladestorm because I figured that would cause the first tornado you fire to possibly crit and get out Savior reflections sooner. Not sure if it matters for other skills though.

" Well, in this case, I'm running Blade Flurry as my main skill for mapping and bossing. I went to poe.ninja and some of the Blade Flurry builds there put The Saviour in their main hand if their Paradoxica has Critical Strike Chance crafted on it. Otherwise, they put it in the offhand if it is a pure physical Paradoxica. Some others have a ~520 pDPS sword in their main hand. I know that the couple Paradoxica/The Saviour is almost unbeatable unless you have a mirror tier foil. Just wondering if with my gear setup switching one or the other from place to place results in any difference... Perhaps I should do some tests... |

" Ok, this is very good information... So in this case that I'm using BF it also will depend on the type of the fight that I will be having, for example for Sirus fights I'll always make sure myself that I get the 6 full stacks and then release them for a powerful blow each time, knowing that this is possible because Sirus has a big HP pool. Or against Metamorph encounters where I want a damage burst in a short period of time. While mapping is quite doubtful that I get the 6 stacks ongoing... So, all in all, I should be using The Saviour in my main hand. Thank you @drklrd for the insight :D Last edited by Educmack#7685 on Mar 6, 2020, 7:56:05 AM

I'm genuinely curious. Since Paradoxica is only double damage on THIS weapon's hits...does it matter? Savior still has better damage than Paradoxica's doubled damage, so wouldn't you want Savior doing the final release hit regardless?

Just use Cyclone and u dont have this offhand problem like BF release.

" Honestly, I don't know... But what @drklrd said is actually quite right, you want Paradoxica to give the final release because it will release the powerful blow (count that you are buffed -> Blood Rage + Flasks + Auras) and with the Double Damage implicit it ends up with major damage output than The Saviour. Related to my last comment, I did my tests with The Saviour on my main hand and... I couldn't see any significant difference honestly. On the other hand, playing a bit on PoB leaving my Paradoxica on my main hand (and counting that you have to add the "100% more damage" mod on The Saviour to simulate the Reflection skill as is) it gives just a little bit more damage than the other way leaving The Saviour on your main hand. |

" I don't like Cyclone, sadly :( |

" Good point. I haven't made the calculation but due to the minimal difference in DPS between both of my weapons, it should not be a substantial difference if I put one or the other on my main hand/off-hand. Again, thanks for your insight :D |
