Life leech and energy shield leech at the same time?

I am trying to work out if you have sources of both life and energy leech do they apply at the same time?

For example I have energy shield leech from heart of ice and then life leech from a vaal passive (0.2% of cold leeched as life).

Do these apply at the same time or can only one be active at once?

There's no reason they couldn't, as long as neither life nor ES is full.

There are three types of leech: life, energy shield, and mana. All 3 can be leeched at the same time from the same damage so long as the applicable damage types are in effect. If an attack skill were to have the support gem for each leech type, the same damage would leech all 3. Note: There are several ways to modify how leeching works which may prevent you from being able to leech.
