Pantheon: Soul of Arakaali/Recovery rate?

One of the upgrades for "Soul of Arakaali" adds "50% increased Recovery rate of Life and Energy Shield if you've stopped taking Damage Over Time Recently".

What exactly does the recovery rate refer to? Regeneration or leech or both of it?

Are there any restrictions to the type of damage over time to successfully trigger the effect? Does it work with Oni-Goroshi's "Her Embrace"?

Do I understand it right that this effect will stay effective for 4 seconds (unless you stop taking damage over time again within this time)?

yes recently refers to 4 seconds so it will last that long

recovery rate refers to all the recovery types (flasks, leech, regen) that have a rate = are not instant

havent played oni goroshi but yes it should work (but it could be hard to stop taking damage from it)

I just tested it: You are right, I'm hardly ever without Her Embrace during fights.

i just know of one remaining way of stopping dmg over time and this is made by Blood Rage and the Null and Void gloves. earlier u did this with BR and IC but well since IC doesnt provides 100% phys immunity anymore the soul got useless at all. one of my characters was completely build around this soul = dead now xD
